The movies NICE GIRL, HERS TO HOLD, and THE AMAZING MRS HOLLIDAY show the Red Cross in action.

Many Deanna Durbin fans (including Devotee #1) have donated blood as a DIRECT result of watching her movies!

This is a photo of Deanna Durbin REALLY donating blood to the Red Cross in May of 1943 during the filming of HERS TO HOLD:

When Deanna built her home in Brentwood, she had the foresight to build a Red Cross Center, fully equipped, in her backyard. In case of an air raid the injured in her neighbourhood would be rushed there for treatment.
