This is a photo of Deanna's first car as presented to her by Universal's production boss Charles Rogers at the railway station when she returned from a trip to New York on the 18th of December, 1936:

Deanna started driving lessons in 1938.
Her dad, James and the family chauffeur, William would take Deanna for lessons around the quiet streets of their neighbourhood and also sometimes at Universal Studios where there was 257 acres of land.
